5 Ingredient (Whole30) Sausage Gravy
I almost feel bad about just how easy this sausage gravy recipe is. I mean can I call it a recipe with so few ingredients??
Yes. I suppose I can.
In fact lately almost all of my recipes have had very few ingredients and I am loving it. With just staples and creativity I have been keeping things easy, simple AND tasty.
(Can we all just pretend sausage gravy isn’t really hard to photograph and make aesthetically pleasing?? Mk thanks.)

We are on a Whole30 and needed a break from the eggs. We eat eggs almost every day even when not on Whole30 but when you can’t have pancakes, or basically any bread like product, to break up the monotony it gets a bit challenging.

So this recipe came as the perfect reprieve from eggs.
And I dare say, it’s veeeerry close to being better than my original sausage gravy. Which is saying something because I make some good sausage gravy.
Even my husband said it’s almost better than the regular sausage gravy. That’s saying something.
It’s funny to see where I’ve come from and how much has changed over the years. I grew up with sausage gravy from a packet. Ya know the ones that are in an envelope in the spice section?
Which is even funnier considering how easy it is to make sausage gravy.
Now I wouldn’t buy those envelopes if my life depended on it. And why would I with this recipe in my arsenal??
This 5 Ingredient Sausage Gravy comes together in less than 30 minutes with just one pan.
If you’re not on a Whole30 you can sub the coconut milk for milk of your choice and serve it over biscuits. If you are on a Whole30 make sure you find a compliant sausage to use and use a compliant coconut milk (this is my favorite compliant milk-I get it shipped right to my door with Amazon’s Subscribe and Save Program how cool is that??).
We served ours Whole30 style over fried potatoes but I reckon it’d be good over just about anything!
